Foran out of Kiwis for rugby league World cup

IALT: Tell my audience what happened to the Kiwi player Kieran Foran.

Kiwi player Kieran Foran Playmaker for the Kiwi's team will not be playing for the Rugby league World cup.The reason why he will not be playing is because he has been injured.The NZRL confirmed Foran's New club, the Canterbury Bulldogs, have made him unavailable for the World cup so he can recover from a quad and back strain.

Fire destroys ANZAC battlefield in Gallipoli

I am learning to show my audience what happened at Gallipoli Today.

Today a large forest fire destroyed huge areas of the ANZAC

 battlefield located in Gallipoli.

Helicopters were called in with monsoon buckets to fight

 against the fire.The fire, which reportedly broke out as a 

result of sparks from a welding machine combined with 

strong winds.Two helicopters, two amphibians, and ground

 fire crews were deployed to the area to deal with the 

eventually bringing it under control a few hours after it erupted.

Toma - Assembly blog post (Maori Assembly)

Today we had a Te reo Assembly.For our assembly we sang songs like Tetero mai,Te Ahora, and Te wa o Matariki.We also some Maori games.What I found challenging was trying to not and laugh when they were playing the games because the people on the stage were so funny.What I didn't find challenging was Listening to the host which were Constance and Frances because they did a great Job doing the games.

Today I got to reply to one of my friends that commented on one of my blog post.

I feel happy for what I said back to my friend Alo because next time he blogs on other people's blogs he can remember what I said to him.What I found challenging was trying to pick the right words to help him with his commenting.What I didn't find challenging was telling him the positive things about what he did.

Toma - Hobbies - What I've Done so Far

Today me,Demetrius, and George did a presentation about our 

hobbies.This is what I have done so far.The hobby that we are doing is Rugby league.

The photos that we picked are the photos of our favourite clubs.The photo I did was Storms and Cowboy.

What I found challenging was writing down information about our hobby.What I didn't find challenging was getting images about rugby league.

Toma - Morning block

IALT: Reflect on what I did in the Morning block.

Today in the morning block we did some filming for the Manaiakalani film festival.What we are doing is a movie about our Fitness.What I found challenging was Trying to say my line.I found that challenging because whenever I say my line I will kind of get shy.I didn't find anything easy to do because everything was just to hard.Another thing I did was play cards with my friends Matthew,George, and Aumau.The games we played was Last card and speed.What I found challenging was trying to be quick at the game speed.What I didn't find challenging was playing last card because I will always win.

Toma - New Zealand celebrates Maori Language Week

I am learning about New Zealand celebrating Maori Language Week.

Te reo is being celebrated this week in New Zealand.The theme for this year is Kia ora te reo Māori which means, “Let the Māori Language live”.Maori Language Week is about raising awareness about te reo in New Zealand and promoting the language.This Thursday, September 14, marks the day in 1972 that the Māori Language Petition was delivered to Parliament. The petition, initiated by activist group Nga Tamatoa, contained more than 30,000 signatures, and paved the way for Māori language to be taught in schools.

Toma - Kiwi can

IALT: Reflect on what we were doing at kiwi can.

On Tuesday we had Kiwi can.For kiwi can we talked about Dealing with challenges.After that we did our Energizer for our energizer we did a game called hand shake when you will have to create your own handshake with a buddy.My buddy was sene.What I found challenging for that game was trying to create a handshake.I never found anything easy because it was very hard for us to create a handshake.

After that we talked and then when we finished talking we did our activity called Fruit salad when you will get a fruit name.The fruits they gave us was Orange,apple,Pear,Banana, and Kiwi fruit.My fruit was Orange and when ever Ms Lilly says a a fruit for example she says Orange then all the people that got the fruit orange will have to change seats and the last person to sit down will have to dance for 5 or 10 seconds.What I found challenging for that game was trying to go to the other seats whenever my fruit will get called.I didn't find anything easy because everything was just to hard for me.

IALT: Explain what I did at Technology

Today for technology we did graphics.For graphics we had to design a brief for 5 people and pick one of those 5 people to make a clock for them.I picked my friend demetrius because he's always there for me when ever I feel down and he never gives up.

What I found challenging was trying to figure out what he likes.What I didn't find challenging was getting images about what he likes from google.

Tongan language week

IALT: Tell my audience what we did today for Tongan language week

Today for Tongan language week we had to wear Pacific clothes.For Tongan language week we had a assembly.For assembly I had to go up on stage and present my ancestor poem with Metui,Akanesi, and Kiko.

After all the classes went up on stage we had a Tongan food tasting test.Miss Kelly our Principal said that they will call up 2 classes at a time to go and taste the Tongan food.When it came up to room 9 and 10 the food was nearly gone.What I found challenging was presenting my ancestors poem.Why?Because I felt butterflies in my stomach when I went up on stage.I didn't find anything challenging because everything was just hard to do.
