Today I will be talking about what I have done for Inquiry.

Today me and my buddy Sifa did our inquiry work, it was about Sugar.Yesterday we watched a video called That Sugar Film. WALT: Reflect on what we did for maths

Maths

This is my maths that I did.

Marbles are packed and sold in of five.

Stand A: is made up of bags with two yellow marbles and three purples marbles each.

Stand B: is made up of bags with three yellow marbles and two purple marbles.

What is the smallest number of each different bag of marbles you would have to get.

A. The same number of yellow marble on both stand A and stand B? My answer Stand A 2 Yellow: Stand B 3 yellow marbles

B. The same number of purple marbles on both stand A and stand B? My answer Stand A 3 purple: Stand B 2 purple marbles.

What I found challenging was trying to solve question A and B because it was so confusing for me and my friend sifa. What I didn't find challenging was reading the questions all over again.I'm not really sure that my answers are correct but that is what I would have to work on next time making sure that I am sure that my answers are correct.

Toma - Honesty

WALT: reflect on what Honesty means

Honesty

Today I will be talking about what honesty means.What does honesty mean to me? The word honesty means telling the truth.What could happen when you're not telling the truth? What could happen is that if you lie to someone about stealing then that person could call the cops then the cops will come to you then you lie to the cops and say that it was someone else than that someone else could end up going to prison for doing nothing.

Another thing that will happen to you is that if you lie to the cops about your Identity than they could end up going to someone else and arresting them.Another thing that would happen to you is that if you lie about mostly everything than you could end up going to jail for not being honest.

Toma - Soccer reflection

WALT: Reflect on what we did at the soccer tournament

Today I will be reflecting on what I did at the soccer tournament.

On wednesday we went to Pt england reserve for a soccer Tournament.Before we went to Pt england reserve  we stayed in the hall so we can talk about what we need to show when we are at the soccer tournament, First they talked about the values which were Manaakitanga,Rangimarie/Tukumarie,Whanaungatanga, and Ako.Then we talked about being humble.

After that the teachers discussed on how they are going to drop off the students.Then they came up with a plan and took 4 by 4.

When we arrived there we saw lots of schools in their sports uniform.Our first game was against sylvia park school. Both of our schools got in 1 goal and it ended up as a tie.

Our other team lost there first game but at least they tried.Our second game was against Ruapotaka school we won by 1 point.Our third game we won by 4 points .Then on our fourth game we tied against Panmure bridge school it was 0 - 0.

Then on our fifth game we lost against Glen taylor the score was 2 or 1 - 0.

Then on our final game 1 of the teachers decided to change some of the team players. So me and my friends got changed to team 2 and some of the players from team 2 went to team 1.

So then team 1 went and played for the finals and they lost against sylvia park school, And the team that I was in won against Panmure bridge school.

Toma - Technology Reflection

WALT: Reflect on what we did at technology

Today I will be reflecting on what I did at technology.Today for technology we changed our groups, my group went to hard materials.Before we even walked in the classroom he said that we would have to act 10 years older.What we had to do was listen to Mr Grundy talk about the creations that him and other students made also he talked about the rules,the equipment, and the expectations.

His rule was:

1. Don't fiddle

2. Stools have four legs for a reason

3. Closed-in shoes!

4. Go before you come!

5. Stay put!

This is what he wrote on the board for when ever you touch his stuff.

 You toucha my stuff

I breaka your face.

Mr Grundy's expectations were to not go over the yellow tape because there is dangerous machines there.

Another thing we did was draw what we would create.Mr Grundy told us to draw 10 things that we could create.I only did 6 but when I go back next week I will carry on drawing my 10 creations.

My six was:

Ship

Race car

Lolly dispenser

box

Truck

Tractor.

What I found challenging today was having to sit there for ages.What I also found challenging was to try not to touch the other things.What I didn't find challenging was drawing the ten creations even though I only drawn six I will still complete it.

Malo e leilei my name is Toma and I am a Year 7 student that goes to tamaki primary school in Auckland,New zealand.My culture is Tongan.My mum comes from Houma and my dad comes from Ha'ateiho.I am in Room 9 and my teachers name is Miss Komor.I have 2 sisters and 4 brothers including me.I live with my family but not with my oldest brother because he is living in Mangere.My favourite subject is Maths and my favourite sports are Rugby,NRL, and Basketball.I have been to tonga.What I would like to be when I grow older is a soldier if not then I'll just be an Rugby player or a basketball player.

Toma - Technology

WALT: Reflect on what we done at technology.

Yesterday was our last session for food tech.I was so sad because we will be leaving Miss Tuipulotu.Miss Tuipulotu was an amazing technology teacher.Yesterday we made Blueberry muffins.When I heard that we were making blueberry muffins I felt so happy because it was gonna be my first time making blueberry muffins.What I found challenging was making the mixture. What I found challenging was trying to do the dishes because I was doing my group and group ones dishes.How was making the mixture challenging?It was challenging because me and my buddy didn't know if it  was ready.What I didn’t find challenging was cleaning.I never found cleaning challenging because there was only small dishes to clean.I felt sad yesterday because it was our last session with Miss Tuipulotu.I also felt happy because at the end of the session we got to eat our blueberry muffins.

Here are the ingredients from when we made blueberry muffins:

Toma - Mothers day card 2k17

I am learning to create a card for my mum for mothers day.

What I found challenging for this activity was thinking about my mum.Why? because there was lots of things that my mum has done for me.What I found easy was looking for the bible verse.Why? because all I had to do was search up bible verses for mothers and it came up with that verse.

Toma - Solo Taxonomy - Should we eat less sugar

WALT: Use Solo taxonomy to critically summarize an article/text.

Today for reading me and my buddy sifa did and solo taxonomy presentation. It was about should we eat less sugar.My thoughts about this article was that we should eat less sugar because lots of people are getting diabetes and diseases and this is because of the to much sugar.My feelings about eating less sugar is that we need to stop eating lots of sugar before we end up in hospital.

Reducing their impact on our country.

I am learning to Reduce a impact on our country

Something that our country needs to work on is stopping crime.I think that our country needs to stop crime.Why? Because Lots of Adults and kids are dying From murder. And those adults could have children and if you kill a parent than their child or children's will have to go and stay with other family members instead of living with their Parents.

Another thing that our country needs to work on is stopping gangs.I think that our country needs to stop gangs.Why? Cause whenever other gangs meet each other they will sometimes fight and fighting is bad cause you could end up dying or end up with a broken bone.For example there is a gang called south side and another gang called east side and they both meet each other at polyfest and then they will start seeing each other and then they start saying “south side” and the other gang says “East side” then they will make a fight and start fighting then someone could end up dying. That is why we should stop gangs.

My last thing that our country needs to work on is Pollution.Our country needs to work on cleaning New zealand. Why? Our country needs to stop pollution cause some adults and children are dying from breathing bad air.So that means that you could end up dying from eating rubbish.For example someone throws rubbish into the sea then a fish eats it then you end up catching a fish and then you go home and eat it.Another example for air pollution is that lots of people throws rubbish onto the ground and then that goes around and then people can smell the bad air then they could end up dying or end up going to the hospital.
