Toma - Fitness

I am learning to reflect on what Room 9/10 did after morning tea.

Today for fitness we had to run around the bike track.Straight after we ran around the bike we went into our groups.There was 3 groups and 3 teachers.The teachers were Ms Komor,Kelly, and Ms Kyla. What my group did first was high knees and planks.Our teacher was Ms Komor. After that we rotated to the next station which was Ms Kyla's station.What we there was squats and running.After we did that we went to our last station which was with Kelly.What we did with her was push ups.

What I found challenging was running around the bike track,push ups, And Planks.What I didn't find challenging was doing the squats,high knees.

Toma - Test!!!

I am learning to reflect on my test that I did today.

Today my class (Room 9) did a Reading test.The site we used for our test was https://www.nzceronline.org.nz/.What we first did was write in our Tokens. For our test we had to read the articles and then answer them.What I found challenging was answering the questions because it was very hard for me to answer.

Toma - Writing (How can we be a good citizen)

I am learning to write a explanation text about how we can be a good citizen.

How can I be a good citizen?

Today I will be writing about how I could be a good citizen.This is the topic that my Teacher gave us

(Room 9 students).

The first thing you have to do to be a good citizen is to not do anything bad.Why? Because if you do anything bad like stealing then you will get arrested.For example you go and rob a store/bank and you get caught.Then what will happen is that you might go to jail and stay in there for days,weeks,months,years, or forever.

The second thing you should do to be a good citizen is respect others.Why? Because if you respect others they could give you something back for what you did.For example you help an elderly lady cross the street.Then that elderly lady gives you something back like if you needed money to help out someone in your family then that elderly lady could end up lending you some money for what you did.

The third thing that you should do to be a good citizen is to be Honest.Why? Because if there is a fight happening and you saw what happened in the beginning and you lie to the police about what happened then you could get in trouble from the police.For example you see a fight happening and the person that started the fight is getting beaten up and then you feel sorry for the person that started it.Then the police comes and asks the people (witness) what happened and then they come to you and ask you questions about the fight and then you lie to them about what happened you could get in trouble for lying to the police.

The reason why I picked all of those things because all of them are really useful.They are useful because all you gotta do is follow all of these things.Not do anything bad,respect others, and Being honest.All of those things are things you should do in your community.

What I found challenging today was thinking of ways to be a good citizen.What I didn't find challenging was writing why we should/shouldn't do those things.

Toma - NFL

I am learning to reflect on what I did for Inquiry.

Today for Inquiry we did indigenous games.What I think indigenous means is where the game was originated.What we did today was talk in front of our class about our indigenous game.The indigenous game that Me (Toma),Falakiko, and Aumau did for our Inquiry was NFL.

What I found challenging about Inquiry today was talking in front of my class about our indigenous game.Why? because I was too shy to go up and talk.What I didn't find challenging was being able to finish of the presentation with my buddies.

Toma - Maths

I am learning to reflect on my maths.

Today for maths my group (Islander maths) did board games.The person I played with was my friend Willow.The first game we played was a card game.The card game we did was a game when you will get a card that has a question on both sides and in the top left corner it says the question and the answer for the other side of the card.Like this.

What I enjoyed was playing with him and answering the maths question because it was making me get more better at my multiplication and division.What I found challenging was answering the question because they were soooo hard.What I didn't find challenging was answering the easy questions like 5 x 2 = 10 and 

11 x 5 = 55.
